Penny and I just today got our complimentary copies of “R for Everyone.”

Many thanks for sending this and many thanks for your kind words in the Acknowledgments. They were very thoughtful.

The book’s arrival allowed us to tell the current crop of majors about your Muhlenberg career — how you started as a business major but took enough math, and did well enough in it, that you simply had to major in mathematics. And now your career seems to be on its way, with your resume featuring a consulting firm, a visiting gig at Columbia, and a book.

“This is so nice,” Penny just said. And so it is.

    Kudos!

    • Thank you so much. You and Penny played a big role in shaping where I am today so I was eager to include you in the acknowledgements and am glad you can use me as an example for your current students.

Congratulations on your retirement/new lecture roles. Hopefully they will be just as rewarding and fun as your time at Muhlenberg. Looking forward to seeing you soon.
